Brief Biography Dr Jodie Lodge holds a Doctorate in Educational Psychology from The University of Melbourne. She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) and holds expert endorsement as an Educational and Developmental Psychologist. Dr Lodge is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a Fellow of the APS College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists.
Dr Lodge specialises in the psychometric assessment of children and adolescents facing challenges such as learning difficulties, attention issues, and memory concerns, as well as giftedness. Before relocating to Hobart in 2014, she served as the Director of a private children’s psychology assessment clinic in Melbourne. Her career also includes roles with the Australian Government's leading research body on family wellbeing; expert review work for the Australian Government on school readiness, early literacy and numeracy, and school participation and retention; as well as university-level teaching.
As an accomplished researcher, academic, and author, Dr Lodge has contributed to numerous scholarly publications. Notably, she authored the Australian entry for The International Encyclopaedia of Adolescence (Routledge, 2006) and a review on Technology and Social Media for Adolescence and Society (Routledge, 2019). She was also awarded the Australian Policy Online Best Resource Award for her publication Children Who Bully at School (AIFS, 2014). Dr Lodge has presented her research both nationally and internationally and is an active speaker in her field. Dr Lodge is deeply passionate about child and adolescent development. Through her school assessment practice, she is dedicated to helping each child reach their full potential.
